Cionini Claudio

Claudio Cionini is an italian painter, born in 1978. In 1992 he started attending the Art School in Grosseto, Tuscany. He later attended the painting school of Adriano Bimbi, professor at the Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. He is able to turn a narrow space like a painting, into a window opening on the world. The imges in Cionini’s works become an inner journey to the places of the soul, in spaces devoid of human beings, yet charged with symbolic and emotional meanings. An inner hymn finding a sort of modern canticle in the civilization of the streets, skyscrapers and night light.

In 2005, during a charity event organized at the Bottega d'Arte Ristori, he met Franco Ristori. In 2006 they begin a collaboration and that started a significant and intense exhibition career. In 2007 he participated in significant group exhibitions such as the 58th Premio Michetti; «La Camicia dei Mille. Opere d’arte per Garibaldi nel bicentenario della nascita» in Florence at the seat of the Regione Toscana; «Nuovi Pittori della Realtà» at the P.A.C. in Milan.

His first one-man exhibition took place in 2008 at the Sala Costantini of the Archaeological Museum in Fiesole. In 2009, on the occasion of the Festival of Tuscany, Regione Toscana hosted his exhibition dedicated to the Berlin Wall. In 2010, the Municipal Gallery of Contemporary Art in Arezzo was the scene of his significant exhibit called «Scorci di verità» [Foreshortened truths]. In 2011 he displays in Pontedera, at the  Piaggio Foundation «Giovanni Alberto Agnelli». In 2013, in Rome, with congratulations of the Senate of the Republic of Italy, Galleria Angelica hosted his personal exhibit «Istanti - Under the skin of images». In 2015 his most recent exhibit took place in Pietrasanta, at Palazzo Panichi.
